How long is the class?

Class is held weekly for two hours during the summer months of June, July & August.

What is the cost?

The cost of each class is $45, and you will be billed on a monthly basis. 

What ages is this for?

Kids Summer | The Academy program is specifically designed for students ages 7-12.

How big is the class?

Each class will be around 8 students for more personalized learning.

Tuesdays 9:00 am-11:00 am
June 7th- August 9th

Class Outline

  • 15 min Warm-up exercise
  • 30 min. Class Lesson
  • 15 break/snack
  • 30 min Individual Project (personal help)
  • 30 min Collaborative Projects​

PERSONALIZED LEARNING

Each child will get the individual guidance they need to help them learn how to simplify the process of drawing and grow as an accomplished artist.

​

Students will be taught a variety of basic drawing skills, and will have the opportunity to pass off different projects and move through the program at their own speed. No more waiting for the class to catch up or feeling like you're holding someone back.

GROUP LEARNING

We will have a class lesson, and a variety of collaborative projects to work on together as we learn.

We will have time to work as a group as well as on our individualized projects.

Being able to learn from one another helps each student learn faster. Students will have the opportunity to participate in critiques and share ideas while we learn together.

We will reach out to you within 24-48 hrs of receiving your application.

You'll come into our studio for an interview.

Frequently Asked questions:

• Why do we have to apply?
We like to meet the students and see what they are interested in, and see some of their work if possible. Although you are interviewing for a spot in the class, acceptance is not based on your skills, more on if we feel we are a good fit for one another and if the student would be a good asset to the class.

• If we are going to be out of town, do I have to pay?
Because you have a reserved spot in the class, you are charged whether you are there or not.  However, we do realize that there are times when a student will not be available, because of this we will offer a makeup class once a month for any student who chooses to come. Students can also participate in any class through "zoom" online if circumstances require it.

• What is the cost of the program? 
The cost is $45 per class and you are invoiced on a monthly basis. 

• What are the start and end dates? 
Starts June 7th and ends on August 23rd.

• Are you also doing summer camps like you have in the past?
Not at this time, this year we've decided to go with a different approach for summer options, as we shift our studio focus to fine art.
