My daughter is thriving with real art instruction from real teachers. Her growth as an artist this year has been truly remarkable.

One of my children has gone on to get her bachelor's degree in art teaching. She was definitely inspired by Susie!

About this Academy
For younger artists, it’s important for the artistic process to be fun and engaging. In this 2.5 hour class, students will learn the basics of drawing from photo references, still-life objects, and more!
With a focus on fine art drawing skills, students will use graphite, pen & ink, colored pencil and charcoal mediums to create finished art pieces. Through lessons on artistic observation and creativity, students will train their artistic eye to see the world as an artist sees it, a world filled with beauty and potential.
Class is broken down into segments such as warm-up exercises, class lesson, individual projects, critiques, break and collaborative work.
Every student will pass off goals to achieve carefully designed artistic milestones through out the program.
Personal Art Supplies
Students are expected to bring personal art supplies to class.

The Academy Program at a Glance
Do I sign a contract if accepted in to the program?
Nope. You can start and stop at any time. Our classes are ongoing year-round.
Is there an enrollment fee?
Yes. There is an enrollment fee of $40 per student that will be automatically charged (1) at the time a new student enrolls and (2) every September thereafter.
The enrollment fee covers the costs of receiving a brand new studio t-shirt each September. It also covers the costs of classroom expenses and special studio events like open houses, art shows and contests.
How is tuition paid?
Tuition is paid through an automatic withdrawal on the 25th of every month. This automatic process is set up at the time of enrollment.
You can access the Student Portal via the Quick Links in the footer below to personally update credit card or other information as needed.
If you decide to drop a class, you must let us know before the 20th so that you are not charged for the following month. You can find a breakdown of the classes each tuition payment covers here.
What happens if I miss a class?
We do our best to help students understand what they missed so they can continue where they left off. Because our teachers are here ready to teach every class time, tuition is not reimbursed for missed classes.
