Drawing Pencils

ESSENTIAL- Drawing Pencil set- make sure you get the medium set so you have the widest variety of pencil leads.
Kneaded Eraser

ESSENTIAL- You'll need at least two of these kneaded erasers. One for graphite drawing and the other for charcoal drawing. These erasers can molded to any shape and erase by rubbing back and forth or pressing and lifting.
White Pearl Eraser

ESSENTIAL- Just about any white eraser will work, I prefer these inexpensive erasers.
Drafting Brush

SECONDARY- Any type of drafting brush to brush the eraser crumbs off your paper without smearing it. I really like this hake brush.
Drawing Board 13 X 17

ESSENTIAL- We will be working on larger pieces of paper and need a solid surface to draw on and carry your artwork to keep it safe. Please make sure you get one of these!
Small Sketch Book

ESSENTIAL- Small sketchbooks are perfect for our warm-ups exercises. Any inexpensive brand will do for this.
Drawing Paper

Stonehenge Colored Pencil Paper

Blending Stumps

SECONDARY- A blending stump is a great tool for blending and softening your drawing, however beginners tend to use it too much and over work their drawings. We will use them but not at the beginning.
T-Square

ESSENTIAL- A T-square is a great tool for getting your measurement correct and making parallel lines.
Charcoal Drawing Pencils

ESSENTIAL- A great set of three softnesses of black charcoal plus a white charcoal which you will love!
Vine Charcoal Sticks

Toned Paper

Proportional Divider

OPTIONAL- This is a great tool can be used to transfer subject matter onto your canvas or paper while keeping the proportions. Easy to use. Increase, decrease or measure the size of a subject to draw. It also includes a small Color Wheel, Value Scale and Artists View Finder. A great tool for all artists.
