ABOUT THE CLASS
ORGANIC SKETCHING for both beginners and advanced artists, is a fun, relaxing, natural, and pleasing way to express our concepts, ideas, and dreams into their first visual stages. It’s a combination of learned simple skills, observation, employing creative techniques, and endless practice.
Sketching is the very first step in almost every genre of art, be it drawing, painting, sculpting, architecture, or design. Learn to avoid unreliable skills and frustrating habits which can make sketching a fearful hurdle! Organic Sketching is a natural and effective confidence builder guaranteed to help make first sketches exciting, more accurate, and something to look forward to. Sketching should be a pleasure! Later in the course you'll learn how to change some of your sketches into final drawing pieces. Bring a sense of humor & an open mind! This won’t be like any art class you’ve ever had!
Once you've conquored the techniques of sketching, you'll move onto drawing.
ORGANIC DRAWING is designed to stretch those mental and sketching skills you learned, while adding advanced techniques & concepts. Learn the importance of patience and careful development of line and tone. Time to bring your own style and designs into the picture!
We work together to bring sketched concepts to the completed drawing stage. Working from images that you find interesting, as well as real objects, and imagination I will introduce shading techniques, tone, line quality, highlighting, weight, and focus, and emphasize advanced pencil control. It’ll be fun, a mental challenge, a hand eye coordination experience, and a solid new base from which to create!

HOW TO JOIN THE WAITLIST
Join our waitlist by clicking the button below. You'll fill out a 30-second form giving us permission to contact you as spots become available in your chosen class. We always contact our waitlist before advertising openings to the public. Once contacted you have 48 hours to enroll before we offer the available spot to the next person on our waitlist.
FAQ'S
DO I SIGN A CONTRACT WHEN I ENROLL?
Nope. You can start and stop at any time. Our classes are ongoing year-round.
IS THERE AN ENROLLMENT FEE?
Yes. There is an enrollment fee of $40 per student that will be automatically charged (1) at the time a new student enrolls and (2) every September thereafter.
The enrollment fee covers the costs of receiving a brand new studio t-shirt each September. It also covers the costs of classroom expenses and special studio events like open houses, art shows and contests.
HOW IS TUITION PAID?
Tuition is paid through an automatic withdrawal on the 25th of every month. This automatic process is set up at the time of enrollment.
You can access the Student Portal via Quick Links in the footer below to personally update credit card or other information as needed.
If you decide to drop a class, you must let us know before the 20th so that you are not charged for the following month. You can find a breakdown of the classes each tuition payment covers here.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I MISS A CLASS?
We do our best to help students understand what they missed so they can continue where they left off. Because our teachers are here ready to teach every class time, tuition is not reimbursed for missed classes.
