

Watercolor Kit
The following items are the supplies I suggest you use:

Pyrrol Scarlet Watercolor

ESSENTIAL- Light Red This is a great fire-engine red. (You can also use Perylene Red or Permanent Red Light in its place.)
Alizarin Crimson Watercolor

ESSENTIAL- Medium Red. A must have! A bluish-red pigment listed on the basic palette of a vast majority of artists. You can also use Quinacridone Rose or Rose Madder in its place.)
Deep Scarlet Watercolor

Watercolor Paper

ESSENTIAL- Arches 140# white watercolor paper. There are other brands out there but this is what I recommend. Working with good watercolor paper will make all the difference in the world! This is the only paper I ask my students to use.
Watercolor Mounting
Board

ESSENTIAL- It's essential to have a board to mount you artwork on while you paint. This is one kind available, but there are other brands out there. If you are searching look for "gatorboard". You can buy a large sheet and easily cut it down with an exacto knive.
24 Well Empty
Watercolor Palette

ESSENTIAL- You'll need an 18-24 well palette for your paints. This is just one of the many available. I really like this one because it gives you some extra mixing areas and still holds 24 colors!
Spray bottle

ESSENTIAL- You'll need a spray bottle to wet your paints. This is a fancy continuous spray bottle but any kind will work!
